Beliefs

At Seerley Creek, we strive for unity in essential doctrines, freedom in areas of personal preference, and love in all things.

We believe …

… The Bible to be the inspired, authoritative Word of God and that it is eternally reliable in all matters of Christian faith and practice.

… That there is one God, infinitely perfect and eternally existent in the persons of Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

… The deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, his virgin birth, his sinless life, his miracles, his substitutionary and atoning death through his shed blood, his bodily resurrection, his ascension to the right hand of the Father, and his personal return in power and glory.

That mankind was made in the image and likeness of God. God created man and woman to complement each other, and together, through the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman, to have children, to fill the earth and subdue it.

… That salvation is by grace, through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. We affirm that repentance from sin towards God, faith in our Lord Jesus, and regeneration by the Holy Spirit are necessary to salvation.

… The resurrection of both the saved and the lost; those who are saved to the resurrection of life and those who are lost to eternal isolation from the living God.

… The present ministry of the Holy Spirit by who’s indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.

… The one universal Church which is the Body of Christ. We affirm Christ as its head. We affirm all who are born-again as its members. We affirm the church’s purpose as offering worship to God, fellowship and instruction, evangelism and service to the world. We affirm the spiritual unity of believers to our Lord Jesus Christ.

… Believer’s baptism by immersion in obedience to our Lord Jesus Christ.
